Student Run Media

Students create, publish and share through several avenues at Westfield HS.  We have a student run newspaper, broadcast journalism class, art and literary magazine, yearbook and a podcast.  

The purpose of Quill & Scroll Honor Society is to inspire and recognize those students who: have shown outstanding commitment to journalism; foster excellence and a dedicated spirit to the pursuit of scholastic media; further the creative abilities of its members and the school community; bring attention to journalism in our school and community; increase awareness for journalism in relation to other areas of the school curriculum and in all aspects of Westfield High School’s mission of Each One, Reach One, Teach One. 

Art & Literary Magazine - Calliope

Calliope is produced by the literary arts magazine staff at Westfield HS. Calliope is a student publication that serves as an open forum for students' expression with the purpose to provide an opportunity for creators of fine arts and writing to showcase their work to other members of the student body.

Broadcast Journalism - Westfield Live

Broadcast journalism is an elective class at Westfield. Students write, produce and publish a news show to the Westfield community.

Student Newspaper - The Watchdog

The Watchdog is the award-winning student newspaper of Westfield High School.

Student Run Podcast - The Bulldog Buzz

The Bulldog Buzz is a student run podcast that was started in January of 2022 with the goal of bringing the staff, students and community of Westfield HS together on a deeper level. Currently students work during the flex time of advisory period to write, interview, record, edit and publish a podcast that is available on Anchor.fm and Spotify.
