Student Parking

Instructions for students who would like to obtain a student parking hang-tag for 2021-2022 school year.

We are still awaiting guidance on the procedure for assigning student parking.  Please check back for updates.

Parking on school grounds is a privilege. Students wishing to park on campus during school hours are required to have an FCPS issued hangtag. Parking without a hangtag obtained as described is prohibited, as is parking at Cub Run RECenter or other private and professional business lots in the surrounding areas. The WHS Administrative Staff reserves the right to deny any student the privilege of parking on school grounds. In order to park on school grounds, the following process must be followed exactly as outlined. Please note that failure to properly submit an application will cause delays in processing and could result in the issuance of citations, booting, and/or towing, all of which are accompanied by fines/fees. Additional sanctions could be imposed if deemed necessary and at the discrepancy of the WHS Administrative Team and/or the Safety & Security Specialist.  

  • Procedures for academy students needing to travel from one campus to another will be addressed on a case-by-case basis/as needed and governed by the current health crisis situation.  Academy students wanting to park on campus and then drive to their academy locations must contact the base school and academy school principal to receive permission. Otherwise, bus service will be available.
  • Students opting to obtain a parking pass are expected to remain at school for the duration of the school day unless administrative arrangements have been made in advance and permission granted for early dismissal.
