Congratulations to Safety and Security Specialist Kevin Mahan on being recognized as the November 2019 FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 5 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Mr. Mahan!
Below is the write up submitted by Dr. Anthony Copeland, Principal of Westfield High School.
During a recent school threat, Mr. Mahan worked with the Office of Safety and Security until at least 11:30 pm to coordinate additional resources for our school. Throughout this challenging event, he periodically updated me, coordinated additional support, and ensured he and his team projected a calm demeanor to students and staff. His leadership with his team and around campus was key to lessening many staff and students’ concerns.
