Westfield Cares is a collaborative effort with our partners from the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Westfields Marriott. The themes of the program are Substance Abuse and Mental Health. The goal of the program is to promote an awareness of substance abuse and mental health issues, to inform students of the dangers of substance abuse, and to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness. Additionally, the program is designed to expose students to prevention interventions to help reduce the likelihood of developing a mental illness and/or a substance use disorder. As our students and community continue to face challenges with substance abuse and mental health, our hope is that by discussing and analyzing the topics presented, students will be able to reflect on their decision-making process. It is our goal to provide students with vital information, care, and support for all. We are very excited to offer this annual educational opportunity to our 10th gradestudents to let them know that Westfield Cares!
This program is limited to 400 of our 10th grade students due to the space available. Students will be added to the list of attendees on a first come first serve basis. Forms are due no later than Wednesday, November 1st, 2017.
