Westfield HS proudly presents Moises Kaufman's The Laramie Project. The show dates are Friday, February 10th (7:30 p.m.), Saturday, February 11th (7:30 p.m.), and Sunday, February 12th (2 p.m.). All shows will be held in the Westfield Theater. Tickets are $10 online or with a student id or $12 at the door.

The Laramie Project is a play written by Moises Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theater Project. Members of the company conducted interviews with the people of Laramie, Wyoming after the 1998 murder of a gay University of Wyoming student, Matthew Shepard. The script features real interviews with the townspeople about their thoughts and opinions after the startling event. Westfield's poignant production reveals the harsh realities of hate crimes in America and uncovers themes of acceptance, grief, justice and grace.

This production is recommended for ages 13+.

The Laramie Project is directed by Westfield theater teacher Rachel Harrington Johnson
