“The essence of you”

I enjoy and appreciate photography as a means of self-expression.Various artists have influenced my work. Photographers like Annie Leibovitz and Steven Maisel and designers Jacquemus and Karl Lagerfeld inspired me to do this shoot. People, fashion and human nature also  inspire me to create art. I have tried numerous shoots throughout the year, but the main concept I had in mind was female empowerment. We must appreciate women more and celebrate each other's differences.  For this shoot, I wanted to showcase the individuality and beauty of women. I asked a few of my friends to be a part of the shoot. I tried to capture the essence of my models in every photo. I wanted to make sure that their beauty and personalities were seen in the photographs. My main goal was to make them feel confident and too showcase their uniqueness in every image that  I took. I wanted them to have complete control over the shoot. I asked them to dress in whichever way made them feel stunning and confident. Their makeup, hair and outfit was completely  up to them. During the shoot I also instructed them to pose in whichever way made them feel confident, whatever made them feel natural and comfortable. I observed their mannerisms and radiance through the lens and captured their beauty and personality.

I have always appreciated women’s resilience and confidence. This shoot not only allowed me to explore portrait photography but it allowed me to explore myself more. Portrait photography allows me to convey the emotions of a person. It allows their essence to be felt by whoever is viewing the photo. Portrait photography allows me to look into a person's nature, for a split second you can feel the person's energy and vulnerability. To be able to look into a person's life through an image is a special thing. As  people view my images, I would like them to consider what makes the girls unique and I would like them to admire their beauty.
