One of my favorite things about painting, and art in general, is the capacity to add color and life to the world as seen through your own eyes - and that is my goal when I paint. I mainly only paint landscapes, because at first that was all I was confident in painting. But as I created more and more pieces, I found myself deeply attached to and invested in the worlds I was creating on the canvas. When painting, I often refer to photographs of real places that inspire me or that have a sense of wonder to them. By using highly saturated colors and artistic techniques, I try my best to recreate the intrigue and openness that comes from looking at a photograph of a beautiful place.

I consider myself to be an ambitious person, and one of my goals for the near future is to be able to travel to many new places to experience different cultures and ways of life. Even as a child, I have always been in love with seeing new and beautiful places, and seeing just how beautiful the natural world is beyond the modernity of today’s society. Through my art and my depictions of various landscapes, I hope to inspire others with the same views on the world’s natural landscapes as I have.

I believe that although many people find emotional attachment or solace within art as a whole, it is rare that someone acknowledges the unique qualities of the landscape. The natural landscape holds beauty that is not entirely encroached upon by humans and is an exhibit of the purity of the untouched world that many people take advantage of. Nature creates a realm of peace and blissful innocence that is near impossible to experience when immersed within the modern industry of human society. This peace is undeniably beautiful and wondrous, but is sadly overlooked and rarely ever acknowledged. The world is an unbelievably mystical and beautiful place and can be seen as such if people just took the time to notice. This is what I want to express through my art.
