Westfield HS Virtual Art Show 2021

Due to the COVID Pandemic, we were unable to hold our annual Westfield Pyramid Art Show. This is one of the most beloved traditions at Westfield High School. In an effort to share a bit of the work that our students have created in their advanced study of the Arts, we have created a Virtual Show with a sampling of work that was created this school year. Our Portfolio Level Seniors are exhibiting in person on May 26th and 27th and some are exhibiting virtually on this site.

Each year we award close to $1000 in art scholarships to deserving artists in our Pyramid. This year is no different! Look for ribbons in our exhibits to find our award winners. We are super proud of them and all of our student artists!

Our Senior Exhibitors

Ashley Andre Portfolio

As an artist I tend to research on a topic before doing a piece on it. I fall down these internet holes and come out with some inspiration. I like to use a lot of color in my work and I kinda go with the flow with starting pieces. When Iwork on my pieces, I sit down and work for a long period of time throughout a few days.

Claire Kolman Portfolio

I take a lot of inspiration from nature, and I sometimes work from pictures I’ve taken because I am also fond of photography. My first love is painting, but I stretched myself this year and worked with graphite as well. I love to experiment with color and recently have started to work a lot with mixed media because it creates an interesting dynamic unique to mixed media pieces.

I enjoy doodling and sketching, eventually it turned into a hobby. Here are some of my favorite pieces I've done.

Art is a hobby of mine that I really enjoy, I use it as a way to pass the time or to throw my thoughts onto a page. So here are a few of my works from this year!

Emily Huse Portfolio

I love exploring shape, line, and color in my work as well as experimenting with how they work with each other. I create mostly portraits, but this year I decided to branch out and explore other types of Compositions as well.

Sathiya Kannan Portfolio

Sathiya Kannan is a 3D artist who mainly works with clay and wood. Her portfolio was inspired by her interest in ancient mythology and philosophy, which contributed to the complex ideas behind each of her pieces.

Liv Miley Portfolio

My name is Olivia Miley, and I am a senior! I love creating landscapes and adding color to the world through art, and I will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design next Fall with a major in Illustration!

Art is a way of expression. It expresses how you feel and think.

I’m a digital artist who primarily focuses on single character illustration with a splash of bright colors throughout. This year, I pushed myself to improve my skills after a year-long art drought where my skills stagnated. My work primarily focuses on LGBT people and their narratives.
