All of my life I have been prone to daydreaming. Ever since I was little I spent most of my time in my own head, ignoring the real world in favor of a fantasy world. The daydreaming helped me escape stress and anxiety, but it was not a perfect escape. I would get stressed and anxious about something and instead of dealing with my problems, I would slip into my daydreams and ignore them until they become worse. It easily became a vicious cycle.

For my sustained investigation, I decided to explore the dangers of such obsessive daydreaming and how blurring the lines between fantasy and reality can be unhealthy. I decided to use elements of fairytales to represent daydreams and fantasy and incorporated them into my work.
