I’ve always been one to have doodles dance along the edges of my assignments. It was fun to make up and create my own unique characters and have them pose in a position that expresses their personality, or how they are feeling. Some of my favorite works are with some sort of heavy, dark, emotion. The intense feeling expressed out on paper. The works that I picked all express some sort of emotion, and a pose I felt made sense. I selected colors that would stand for something, such as white for innocence or red for anger or bloodshed. I hope people will be intrigued by my artwork, wonder what my thought process was when I created the piece. I want to make a strong impact on those who see them, make them think about the meaning behind it and let them interpret it for themselves. I usually begin a piece by sketching out a pose and doing line art soon after.
